Micah has worked in the energy field for over 12 years. In this time, he has held a diverse range of positions in the engineering, project management, and research and analysis fields.
He has worked with indigenous communities on energy related issues in the US, Australia and NZ and undertaken project work in the Solomon Islands, China and the Torres Strait Islands. Relevant experience includes feasibility and system designs for PV projects up to 2 MW, a technical role on Ergon Energy’s Powersavvy team where he helped develop a model for reducing electricity consumption in isolated communities in Queensland and Torres Strait Islands (Ergon 2010-11); and developing sustainable solutions for remote sites and islands managed by Department of Conservation (Meridian Energy 2007-10).
Since joining Infratec, Micah has worked on a variety of energy projects in the pacific including a 170 kW rooftop solar project in Tuvalu and a 960 kW solar project in Rarotonga.
