Infratec is proud to announce success at the recent SEANZ awards. Thanks to a great company wide effort, we managed to win ‘Best Off Grid Renewable System’ (Palau- Kayangel) with Sunergise, ‘Best Community Energy Project’ (Energise Otaki), and runners up for the ‘Dave Keppel - Innovation Award’ (Project BOOST) and again for the ‘Best Community Energy Project’ (Palau- Kayangel). Core to Infratec’s success are relationships, including a JV with Sunergise on Kayangel, Energise Otaki Charitable Trust, and Transpower for Project BOOST. The projects covered a range of sustainability targets including energy resilience, community training, skills acquisition and technical innovation. Nick Bibby – GM Business Development said, “This success shows the importance of sustainably solving energy issues for small communities like Kayangel and Otaki, but also in a wider context, as with project BOOST and the ability of cutting edge battery technology to play a part in the future of New Zealand’s energy strategy."
