Community development and impact is a key driver for Infratec. Our operating model treats the local community not simply as a customer or beneficiary, but as a project partner.

We are recognised as a champion of local community engagement, winning multiple awards for our efforts. We model our delivery on the needs of the community, from remote villages in the Pacific, to iwi, landowners, and community groups in New Zealand.  

Infratec values local training and aims to incorporate this via on-the-job skill training during the build. This can be formalised with NZQA modules at the end of the project. We believe a well trained community helps with our goals of energy resilience and community self-determination.
